We recently entered into a partnership with the MyTec-Bedrijven Foundation. This was celebrated with an official signing ceremony on Wednesday, February 22, at our office in Velsen. Board members Rob Dresken and Diana van der Westen signed on behalf of the MyTec-Bedrijven Foundation, and Ivo van Vliet signed on behalf of Vicoma. We look forward to a successful partnership and are proud to now be an official participant.

By partnering with MyTec, we aim to help bridge the gap between education and the real world. To reinforce this, Vicoma offers internships to MyTec students. During these internships, students receive guidance from experienced engineers. In addition, we will help shape the curriculum, and our specialists will give guest lectures. The latter can take place either on campus or at our office. We are pleased to be able to contribute in this way to the development of the engineers of the future.
The MyTec-Bedrijven Foundation is a collective of technical companies from North Holland that has been working since 2012 to improve technical education in vocational education (MBO). As a business partner, they have collaborated with ROC Nova College to design a new educational concept called MyTec. A program at the Beverwijk campus that combines the former Level 4 BOL programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Operational Engineering into a single program. Students initially take courses in all three fields of study and later choose to specialize in one of them.
As a result, students receive a broad, multidisciplinary education and, as engineers, learn to look beyond the boundaries of their field. In addition to organizing internships, guest lectures, field trips, and fairs, MyTec-Bedrijven works with Nova College each year to develop improvements to the curriculum, thereby enriching MyTec with new, innovative techniques to ensure optimal alignment with the professional world.
