About the Project
If you look up “scheg,” one of the definitions you’ll find is: a wedge-shaped piece of wood. Distribution Center
“De Scheg” gets its name from the wedge-shaped lot on which it stands. Remmers asked Vicoma to design a multifunctional, market-competitive distribution center on this distinctive lot in Tilburg.
Vicoma’s Role
The specific shape of the lot and its three-sided orientation, combined with the program, formed the basis of a challenging design task. Working closely together, we developed an efficient site plan and created an architectural design that captures the imagination. We were able to meet the high standards set by the aesthetics committee to their full satisfaction.
Result
A striking plan in a prominent location. A well-thought-out design that served as a solid foundation for further development and implementation by third parties.
