Elho: A building that serves as a high-quality showcase for its products

About the Project

Elho was bursting at the seams at various locations.

The solution: new facilities to accommodate future growth. Elho asked us to design their new production facility, warehouse, and offices as part of a construction team. The building was meant to serve as a high-quality showcase for their high-quality products—that was crystal clear to Elho.

Vicoma’s Role

We broke the task down into two steps. We began by analyzing the current processes. Next came the optimization. For example, Vicoma has helped improve inventory management and production methods. We designed the desired high-quality building around the optimized business processes.

Result

Warehouse, shipping and production areas, office, and showroom—all under one roof. And not just any roof, but a curved roof supported by 28 arched laminated beams approximately 40 meters long.

Inside, the central hall with its architecturally designed staircases is a real eye-catcher. The office features a large showroom for presenting products to customers. Due to the sharp seasonal decline in product demand, a large central warehouse has been established. The flower boxes and pots are manufactured in the production area. Thanks to its new facilities, Elho was able to achieve strong revenue growth, which led to an expansion. They knew where to find us for this, too. “Good work leads to more work,” as we say at Vicoma!
