From ‘patchwork’ layout to a modern production environment
Vicoma is often asked to develop a re-design of the factory layout within a set budget and time. In many cases a significant production expansion can be realised in the same space This by optimising the production and making more efficient use of the total volume. Much attention was paid to the streamlining of production lines, conveyor belts and a logical routing for incoming and outgoing goods. With their experience Vicoma’s engineers are able to convert a ‘patchwork’ layout into a modern and efficient production environment.
Vicoma’s role: phased conversion without shutting down production
We often see that our customers also wish not to endanger production continuity during the conversion. We can make this possible by carrying out the conversion in a number of phases. This means it takes a little longer, but production does not have to be completely shut down. This is a great advantage, because stopping production costs a lot of money. We have successfully realised a phased conversion for various customers and have gained a lot of experience.
