The power plant of Enecogen was in need of two permanent access routes to the roofs of two buildings. Since the company does regular inspections on the roofs, the routes also needed to meet all safety standards. The permanent solution that was chosen means the roofs can now be reached at all times without having to the build and install expensive scaffolding.
Vicoma’s role: from engineering to construction management
Vicoma presented a number of design proposals. After consulting with the client, one of the solutions was worked out further and subsequently installed. Na overleg met de klant werd een bepaalde oplossingsrichting verder uitgewerkt en vervolgens gerealiseerd. During the engineering stage, Vicoma carried out scans and measurements, made 2D and 3D drawings, assisted in the building application, managed the procurement process, performed design and control calculations, and afterwards also supervised the project’s construction work.
3D model of the construction
A partner that Vicoma had selected took care of production and installation. Vicoma checked the working drawings and connection calculations of the partner and did the final inspection after completion.
Result: permanent safety at Enecogen
The energy provider was able to put the new rooftop access routes into use within just a short time and according to schedule, guaranteeing the permanent safety for the buildings and staff. Moreover, this solution helps the client to save on costs, as scaffolding is no longer needed to gain access to the roofs. Cooperation between all the party involved went very smoothly and contributed to the project successful completion.
