Back to the overview

For tank storage company LBC Tank Terminals in Botlek, Vicoma worked with LBC to further develop their existing terminal. A new jetty was built for the terminal, suitable for sea and inland vessels. Vicoma designed the jetty in detail and laid the basis for the new tank pits and the pipe and coupling systems.

Designing tank terminals is familiar territory for Vicoma’s Rotterdam branch. There have been terminals in the Rotterdam harbour area before, in which Vicoma had a leading role. With the construction of this future expansion and modernisation of the existing LBC tank terminal, the tank storage company is anticipating the future.

At the revamped tank terminal, existing and new tank pits are linked together and to the various loading points through a flexible network of pipes. This flexible system enables LBC to meet any future customer requirement. Regardless of the product stored in their tanks. The first new tank pits and the new jetty were delivered ready for operation in early 2017.
